NARS Illuminator Copacabana

I like to call this product my inner glow in a tube. This product is awesome!! I have been using an illuminator on my cheeks now for awhile but I have never mixed it in with my foundation. When I bought this product I had planned to use it on my cheek bones and that was it. I looked on youtube to see if people used it other ways and I found someone who mixed it in their foundation. I decided to try this and it works wonderfully. It gives the best glow to my skin without being to sparkly or shiny. However it photographs horribly as I figured it would… so if you do try this keep that in mind. I also came across another video of someone who mixes this with their primer. It gives a more natural glow when you use it with primer and I think I prefer this way better.

I like the packaging of the product its very cute and simple, and its easy to dispense even the smallest amount of product.  I paid $30 for this and the bottle is 1.1oz. They have four different shades of their illuminators : Copacabana, Orgasm, Super Orgasm, and Laguna. Copacabana is the lightest shade of the four and is described as a glistening pearl. I think this shade is best for us fair to medium skin toned girls, but with a light hand I think it could add a nice glow to any skin tone. I think Laguna would be another good shade to consider, I could see it added a nice sun kissed glow to your skin. I would like to try this one sometime.

You get a lot of product, so I can see this lasting me quite awhile. I think the 30 price tag is not all that bad considering it is the size of a foundation. If you are looking to add some glow to your skin, or if your skin is dry and dull (like mine) I highly suggest this product!

As you can see above, a little goes a VERY long way!!
Do you have any of NARS Illuminators? If so what are your thoughts?

Loreal Infalliable Eyeshadow Sultry Smoke

Hey Ladies, as most of you know I dont really buy from loreal... but I had to cave and give these a try! I kept seeing everyone posting about how great these were and I wanted to give it a try! So I told my husband to pick me out one and he chose the shade Sultry Smoke. I got this at target for around $7 (got it awhile ago so I cant remember exactly). They have about 10 shades total and a lot of them were neutrals.

They packaging of these are pretty neat but they are a little bulky. The shadows are unlike any other shadows I have, they are powdery but creamy feeling. They are like a loose pressed pigment kind of (hard to explain). The product has a plastic piece that is included to repress the shadow back down after use.
Due to the consistency of the shadow I find you need a dense tight brush, a fluffy brush will not pick up the product very well. Also I have found if you use your finger the shadow goes on much more pigmented.

applied with brush, blended out, applied with finger

I think this is a neat product and it performs well. However I prefer my Urban Decay and Indie shadows much more. So I do not think I will be purchasing any more of the Infalliable shadows in the future.
Have you tried these if so what shades, and what are your thoughts?

Ps This was bought about 2 months ago before my P5P I am just a serious slacker and havent posted :)

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup Review

The long awaited review on Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid makeup is finally here! This little foundation has given me some testing grief and it was taking me awhile to form a full opinion on this foundation. I didn’t want to do a post until I was sure what I thought about it. So finally I have made up my mind!

I first tried this foundation without any primer, this way I could see how it worked with my skin. I really like how easily it applied and how easy it was to blend out. The shade matched my skin great and I went about my day. I noticed it didn’t last long at all on me. By around hour four my foundation had pretty much warn off my face ps I did use a setting powder. So I figured I would try it out and see if this happened everytime, after three uses I got the same results! I decided to try a primer first… this didn’t help at all still the foundation wore right off my face. I was beyond frustrated at this point!

So I figured since this foundation gives a light coverage I would mix it with my Revlon color stay which was to heavy for me. Woohoo finally exactly what I have been looking for! The mix of these two foundations work perfectly for my skin. It’s a nice medium coverage that is slightly Dewey and stays put all day!
So in conclusion this foundation will not work for me by itself but it performs beautifully with Revlon’s Colorstay foundation.
You can find this at CVS, Target, Walgreens, Wal-Mart etc. it is a bit on the pricey side it was around $12.99 at CVS. I have always had a difficult time finding my holy grail “work for me” foundation, but I think I have finally found it in these two! :)

Have you tried this foundation, what are your thoughts?
