Khloe's Kardazzle Face Palette

While watching Keeping up with the Kardashians (yes I watch that show!) a while back I remember seeing them discussing coming up with a makeup line. Well as soon as I head Ulta was selling items from their Khroma line I knew I had to try something out. The face palettes immediately caught my attention, all three sisters each have their own. Khloes palette seemed to have shades I wear most so I got hers, plus she is my favorite of all the sisters! Each palette comes with four matte shades, four shimmery shades, a blush, bronzer and highligher all at an awesome price of $12.99.

So is this palette worth the money, or is it just hype because its made by the Kardashian Sisters?

I totally think it was worth every single penny! I didn't have very high hopes for it, but I was pleasantly surprised. All the shimmery shadows were extremely pigmented and had no fallout surprisingly. The matte shadows had pretty good pigmentation, but not as good as the shimmery which is usually the case with mattes. The blush, bronzer and highlighter are all equally as pigmented and smooth. The shadows blended out nicely, stayed put all day and did not crease.

This palette is perfect to take on travel, and vacations. Its small and has a lot of what all you need. I love this palette so much I plan to try out Kim, or Kourtneys next.

Have you tried anything from the Khroma beauty line? What do you think?

Prestige Cosmetics Total Intensity Line

Prestige Cosmetics released a new collection today, the Total Intensity line. This line is now available at Ulta Beauty and prestigecosmetics.com Total Intensity is a collection of eight long-wearing eye shadows, six liquid liners, ten pencil eyeliners and mascara. The new line is named for its high intensity pigments, extended wear and color technology.

The Total Intensity eyeshadow collection consists of long-lasting, highly-pigmented powders that use duochrome pigment, an advanced color technology that creates a unique multi-dimensional look ranging from multi-color to bold. It’s smudge and crease proof and can be used wet or dry to intensify the color. These retail for $8.49 a piece.

For those looking for the perfect smoky eye, Prestige’s eyeliner pencils mix bold colors with deep black undertones. The shades have an iridescent glow and smooth texture that create a smudge proof and waterproof line. These retail for $5.50 a piece.

The Against All Odds liquid ink eyeliners are the ultimate waterproof liquid liners with intense colors for an all-day, stay put look. These retail for $9.49 a piece.

The Total Intensity Dramatic Precision Mascara creates length, volume and intense dark color with a simple stroke. The cone shaped brush is specially designed to grab and coat each lash for extended wear. This retails for $8.49.

Will you be trying any of these out? I will be on the lookout for them at my next trip to Ulta! The pencil eyeliners caught my attention, I am all about a smooth pencil liner that is waterproof. I really am curious about the eye shadows anything duo-chrome is awesome! A few of the colors really catch my attention and I am hoping to get my hands on them!

Tarte 5 Piece LipSurgence Collectors Set

As soon as I saw this listed at Sephora I knew I needed to get my hands on it! I wanted the set they had last year but missed out on it. I had never tried this product, they are usually $24 a piece. This set you get five full size lip products for only $34. Which equals out to $7 a piece... what a steal!!

All five pencils have a slight mint scent and taste to them. They all go very smooth on your lips and do not tingle or feel drying, however my lips were slightly chapped after about a hour. All five pencils left a pretty decent amount of color and tint on my lips, some more than others. You get two lip lusters, two lip tints and one matte lip tint. I noticed the finish of the pencil did have an effect on the pigmentation. See below for a mini review of each pencil.

Lip Tint in Enchanted this is one of my favorites of the bunch! It looks a bit scary, but it goes on your lips a nice strawberry tint color. Its a very wearable pinkish red color... and leaves a good tint on your lips.
Matte lip tint in exposed would definitely be my favorite of the bunch. When I bought the set I thought this would be the one color I would never use, looks can be deceiving! Its a perfect my lips but better nude color. This is the most pigmented of the bunch and I am thinking it is because it is a matte. It goes on your lips very smooth unlike most mattes and does not look overly dry. This one has very good pigmentation like a lipstick and stays put for about 4 hours.
Lip Luster in sweet will give you a very subtle pinkish tint. This is a good everyday color if you do not like your natural lip color. It does have a nice shine that lasts about 30 minutes then will leave a very light tint. If your looking for a lot of color this is not for you. However I find its great to wear to work.
Lip Tint in elite is similar to enchanted. It is a little less pigmented and has a very slight orange tint. This one is great if you want a semi bold lip but do not want to go to overboard. I think this one is still work appropriate and leaves a pretty good stain.
Lip Luster in escape is the lightest of the five. It has a nice shine to it but very little pigmentation. It will give you a very subtle color to your lips I don't think I will be wearing this one to often.

Overall I am extremely pleased with this set and I think it was well worth $34. I will get use out of 4 of the 5 colors. I would highly recommend this set to anyone who hasn't tried this product.

Have you tried any of Tartes LipSurgence pencils? What are your favorite shades?

Upcoming Holiday products from Sigma

I am sure almost all of you are familiar with Sigma. Sigma is very well known for their great quality brushes that are very affordable. Lately they have been expanding their product line to more than just brushes. They introduced 3 eyeshadow palettes last year the bare, flare and dare. They also have the limited edition Paris Palette and skin care items.

Being part of their affiliate programs you can get a newsletter with upcoming product launches and company information. I was pretty excited about a few of the upcoming items so I wanted to share with you guys!

Individual Brow Design Kits
Components of the Beauty Expert Brow Design Kit will soon be sold individually. The brow pencil -$12, highlighting pencil -$12, brow gel -$12 and brow powder shades -$14 will be sold separately. To me this is a great idea! Most people wouldn't need a whole kit, this way they can tailor it to what they specifically need.

Individual Eye Shadows
These eyeshadow shades are taken from the four palettes already available (bare, dare, flare, and Paris). Each eyeshadow will retail for $11.

and... I saved the best for last...

Eye Shadow Bases
Each eye shadow base kit contains a set of three bases, and a brush for easy application, these will retail for $36. You will also be able to buy bases individually for $13 a piece.

Sigma has not yet let us know a release date but as soon as I get that information I will share!

Now you will probably see why I decided to share this! They have so many great upcoming products, and I am pretty excited about them. Of course I am most excited about the eyeshadow bases, I am torn between the bare and flare set. I will definitely be purchasing one of those, along with an eye shadow to try. I have not tried any of their makeup so I am pretty excited to get some and see how the quality is.

Sigma will also have a palette coming out they teamed up with Tiffany D for. I don't have any information on that but I am pretty excited to see the details because she is one of my favorite YouTube makeup gurus.

You can visit Sigmas website here. If you use the code SBAP12 now through November 30th you can get 10% off your purchase.

Which products are you most excited about, do you plan to purchase any?

Beauty Blogger Headquarters (How I got started blogging)

A fellow blogger Krystal decided to start an awesome blog Beauty Blogger Headquarters a place for us beauty bloggers to share tips and tricks with each other. There will be new topics each month... check out the blog for more information :)

This month we are sharing how we became beauty bloggers! Here is a little about me and how I got started.

I have been been blogging for two years now (holy cow!). Time really flys when you are doing something you enjoy... when I look back at my first few posts I have really came a long way. I was inspired to start blogging really by Temptalia. I watched a lot of youtube videos and didnt have courage to make them, so I thought a blog would be perfect. Temptalia is probably a big inspiration for a lot of us ladies! My husband is my biggest support system for my blog, and he encourages me every step of the way.  I don't usually talk about my blog to my friends because its not something I feel they would really take an interest in.

When I first started my blog my biggest goal was to get just 50 followers, I felt like that would be such a huge accomplishment for me. I still really find it hard to believe over 50 people read and follow my blog. I am constantly setting new goals for myself, so that my blog will continue to grow and succeed. If I could go back to when I started blogging, I think I would have given myself the tip of how important photos are! Good quality photos are one of the most important things to have in your blog posts.

My favorite thing about being a blogger is getting to express my love of makeup with others and hearing feedback. I absolutely love getting comments and interacting with other bloggers. My least favorite thing about blogging would probably be that it feeds my makeup obsession! I always feel I can justify buying something because its for a review for my blog. Which a lot of time it is... but it also leads to a massive collection of makeup that one person really doesn't need!

I would love to hear about how you got started with your blog and what you love about it! If you decide to join in with beauty blogger headquarters let me know so I can check out your post :)
