Bdellium Tools 957 Precision Kabuki

Ahh Finally my review on the Bdellium tools 957 brush. I have been wanting to do this for awhile, but wanted the brush to get good use and a few washes. I was so excited to get the brush so I didnt want my review to be biased due to excitement! Just a little background... I had planned this to be my next brush purchase... but Bdellium Tools chose me to be their la beaute of the month so I got to choose a brush of my choice to be sent to me.

This brush looked the most comparable to Sigmas F80, which you all know I love! When it arrived I was so excited the brush head was so soft and dense just like sigmas F80. When I wash the brush I dont have any shedding, or staining from the brush on my towel.
I used the brush like I did my F80, and WOW! I didnt actually think there was something better than the F80 but I think this takes the cake! Its much denser and does not absorb as much foundation as the F80 did. The longer handle on the brush also helps you get a different effect when blending your foundation out.

My only downfall is the brush is incredibly hard to wash. I am not sure if this is due to the denseness, or the antibacterial coating they use. I washed it like I normally would, and it just wouldn't come clean. I assumed it was stained but in the morning it had caked up foundation chunks (not a good look). I used olive oil mixed with soap and this did the job.

I would highly suggest this brush if you use liquid foundation. You will be amazed at how airbrushed your face looks. You can buy it from amazon, or here for $14.52.

Thanks again to Bdellium Tools for choosing me as Januarys la beaute, and sending me this amazing brush!

  1. Hi Amber!  I was considering purchasing a set of two Sigma Brushes (F82 and F84) from their synthetic line that are on sale for $24 for the pair.  I know you mentioned you have the F80 which would be the flat topped version and you like this Bdellium tools one better than that, but do you have the F82 or F84?  I am not certain if it is just preference to use a flat top brush for foundation application or if it is mainy the density of the brush that matters and then the shape is secondary?  (Hope that is not confusing.)

  2. I dont have the F82 or F84. My guess would be they work pretty similar to the the F80 though. The bristles are the same, I wouldnt think the shape makes a huge difference. I have seen  girls on YT use the F82 for foundation :)
